Abstract | PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of light quantity of light beam for detecting disk information in an optical pickup device having a tracking system by using a galvano-mirror. CONSTITUTION:Beam splitting means 3, 17, 18 splitting light beam emitted from a laser element 1 into two beams and making the beams incident on the galvano-mirror 5 are arranged between the laser element and the galvano- mirror and one of the beams, i.e., a first beam split by the beam splitting means is introduced to the information recording medium 8. Disk information is detected from the reflected beam, another beam, i.e., the second beam is introduced to detecting systems for rotated angle of the galvano-mirror 14, 15, the rotated angle of the galvano-mirror is detected and tracking control is executed based on this output. |
