Summary: | PURPOSE:To enhance the color forming properties of a printing layer and to enable accurate and stable recording and reproduction by laminating a magnetic layer, a soft magnetic material layer with a thickness of 1-8mum and a printing layer on a non-magnetic support. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer 2, a soft magnetic material layer 3 and a printing layer 4 are successively laminated on a support 1 and the thickness of the soft magnetic material layer 3 is set to 1-8mum to form a magnetic recording medium. As a concrete example of the support 1, there is synthetic paper or a polyester film. The magnetic layer 2 is formed by coating the support with magnetic paint containing a magnetic powder such as gamma-Fe2O3 or barium ferrite, a binder resin and a solvent and drying the coating layer. The soft magnetic material layer 3 is formed by coating the magnetic layer 2 with paint containing a soft magnetic material powder being ferrite particles such as nickel or manganese, a binder resin and a solvent and drying the coating layer. A transfer magnetic recording medium can be obtained by laminating a release layer, the printing layer, the soft magnetic material layer, the magnetic layer and an adhesive layer on the support. |
