CONSTITUTION:Plural full-size still pictures are shown on the screen of an image display device (11). Then an operator specifies a window through an input device and designates the sizes (reducing directions) of the images (12). Thus the display device displays still pictures in each designated size (14) while repeating the display of these images of sizes less than each full size (13). The images can be reduced down to a size approximate to an icon (15). When plural reduces still pictures are displayed (15), the operator specifies a window through the input device and designates the sizes (magnifying directions) (16). Thus the display device displays the still pictures in each designated size (14) while repeating the display of these images of the sizes less than each designated size (17).
