Abstract PURPOSE:To lead coming-in light to a core wire material efficiently by making refractive index gradient wherein the refractive index becomes lower toward outside for each of the projected core wire material. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of core wire materials 1 are made in parallel and integrated with a clad material 2 having lower refractive index. The core wire materials 1 are projected from the end face of the clad material 2 and the surfacial periphery part 11 of the projected part of each core material 1 is doped with a dopant with low refractive index while the dopant concentration is graded. In the case that an optical image from an object body to be photographed is led to the optical fiber bundle 3 like this, due to the lens function at the projected parts of the core wire materials 1, the coming-in light is transmitted to the insides of the core wire materials 1 efficiently, and then the light comes out from the outer end side, so that a bright and clear image can be obtained.
