PURPOSE:To provide the subject flame-retardant polyamide composition composed of a polyamide, an organic halogenide, an antimony compound, a phosphorus-containing compound, an amine-based stabilizer and/or a phosphorus- based stabilizer, excellent in heat resistance and flame retardency and low in stain of a mold. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. polyamide, (B) an organic halogenide (e.g. crosslinked brominated aromatic polymer or brominated polystyrene) containing preferably 15-87wt.% bromine in an amount of 1-40 pts.wt. based on halogen atoms, (C) an antimony compound (e.g. antimony trioxide or sodium antimonate) in an amount of 1-30 pts.wt. based on antimony atoms, (D) 0.1-10 pts.wt. phosphorus-containing compound (e.g. inorganic phosphate or organic phosphate) and (E) 0.05-7 pts.wt. amine-based stabilizer (e.g. p,p'-dioctyldiphenylamine) and/or phosphorus-based stabilizer [e.g. tris(2,4-di-tert. butylphenyl)phosphite].
