PURPOSE:To remove the air within a bag without labours, by enclosing the bag in the condition that the mouth part of the bag containing an article is laid in the outside of the bank and pressing it by compressed air pressure. CONSTITUTION:The lower edge of a pressing box 54 is pressed on the bank through a bag C containing an article in the condition that the bag is placed in both inside and outside of the bank 48 in such a manner that the part containing the article W is positioned in the inside and the opening edge is positioned in the outside, to feed compressed air into the pressing box 54. The part of the bag within the pressing box is pressed with the compressed air. The inner pressure of the bag within the pressing box becomes higher than the inner pressure of the bag outside the pressing box. And an air-discharge groove 49 connecting the inside of the bag to the outside is formed at the intermediate part between the inside and the outside of the bank and hence, the part right above the groove of the bag is bent downward due to the increased inner pressure to form a hole by being inserted into the groove. As a result, the air within the bag is exhausted through the hole.
