Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of disturbance on light receiving parts without applying weight load to a movable part by arranging a light emitting element between a pair of light receiving elements and arranging plural light shielding members between the light emitting element and respective light receiving means. CONSTITUTION:A bobbin 12 of an objective lens actuator 20 is turned around a rotational spindle 11 and an objective lens 17 fixed to the bobbin 12 is moved to execute tracking operation. A reflection chip 18 constituting a part of a position detector 10 is fixed to the outer periphery of the bobbin 12 and the base 4 of the detector 10 is opposed to the chip 18. An LED 1 to be a light emitting element, photodiodes 2a, 2b to be light receiving elements and shading plate 3 arranged between the LED 1 and the photodiodes 2a, 2b are fixed at the base 4. Consequently, disturbance from light emitting element can be suppressed without increasing the weight of a movable member and detection accuracy can be improved.
