PURPOSE:To make it easier to fit a dust collecting bag, and eliminate dust leakage from the fitted part for an electric vacuum cleaner which collects dust by fitting a dust collecting bag. CONSTITUTION:On a dust sucking chamber 13 side of a check valve 26, which is attached on a front wall 24 of a main body case 11, a suction port cylinder 35 is movably in the longitudinal direction supported elastically by an elastic body 27 while being energized to the dust sucking chamber 13 side, and by inserting a mouth frame 31 which is provided on a dust collecting bag 29 downward from an opening 12 of the dust sucking chamber 13, a suction port cylinder 35 is moved forward on the tilted surface of a fitting part 35a of the suction port cylinder 35, and the fitting part 35a and a suction port 30 of the mouth frame 31 are airtightly fitted. By this method, fitting of the dust collecting bag 29 is made easier and dust leakage from the fitted part can be eliminated.
