Abstract PURPOSE:To present a load carrying facility having the carrying capability improved by adjusting the speed of a free-running truck in a curve part in accordance with the present running speed. CONSTITUTION:A free-running truck 12 is provided with an encoder 7 which is connected to the shaft of a wheel 8 which is brought into contact with a guide rail 1 and is rotated, a counter 16 which counts the number of pulses of the encoder 7, a magnetic proximity sensor 5 which detects the magnetism of a magnet tape 4 attached at the free-running truck entrance point of the curve part, and a main body controller 17 which calculates a deceleration point in accordance with the running speed detected by the counted value of the counter 16 and controls and reduces the running speed of the free-running truck to the running speed for the curve part at the time of arrival at this deceleration point. The free-running truck 12 is controlled to a curve speed Vb at the start point of the curve part to shorten the carrying time, and the carrying capability is improved.
