EXAMPLE:(24S)-1alpha,3beta-bis(methoxycarbonyloxy)-24-methyl-23-(phenyl sulfonyl)-25-(tetrahydrofuran-2-yloxy)cholesta-5,7-diene-22-ol. USE:Used as a synthetic intermediate of vitamin D2s derivative useful for remedy of chronic renal failure, parathyroid hypofunction, osteomalacia and osteoporosis, etc. PREPARATION:A steroid derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with sulfone expressed by formula III in the presence of a basic substance.
