Summary:PURPOSE:To confirm that a developer is supplemented and to count the frequency of supplementation by accurately counting the frequency of supplementation according to the output of a supplementation detecting means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a supplementation counting means for counting the frequency of supplementation of a developer supplemented to a development device 5 and the supplementation detecting means which detects the supplementation of the developer to the development device 5. Thus, the supplementation frequency counting means counts the frequency of supplementation according to the output of the supplementation detecting means. Consequently, the supplementation of the developer is confirmed and then the frequency of supplementation can accurately be counted, so that a maintenance inspection period can accurately be displayed.
