Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent or reduce breakage of a delivery body due to external force by a method wherein a protector for covering a delivery pipe made of synthetic resin on the delivery pipe is provided as well as a space is provided between the delivery pipe and the protector. CONSTITUTION:An approximately cylindrical delivery pipe 1 wherein one opening end is fuel inlet 4 and the other opening end is a return port 5 is formed on a lower half section with fuel supply ports 20 with gradient by the number corresponding to the number of engine cylinders wherein an injector 11 installed corresponding to each cylinder of the engine is fitted into each fuel supply port 10. On the upper half of the pipe 1, a pair of right and left brackets 13 are made protruding while a metallic bush 14 is installed on each of the brackets 13. In this delivery pipe 1, a plate protector 2 with a semi-circular cross section is placed with a distance from the pipe 1 wherein it is coupled by friction welding to a pair of right and left circular ribs 15 provided on the pipe 1.
