PURPOSE:To suppress the amplitude of a weight while keeping the vibration isolating effect to a building to some extent by using an oil damper which becomes velocity square proportional type when damping force characteristic exceeds a certain velocity. CONSTITUTION:Between a weight 1 put on a set floor 2 through a static pressure bearing or roll 3 and the set floor 2, two links 4 are mounted through a universal joint 5 and a pin joint 6. Further, a reaction wall 7 built and fixed on the set floor 2 is communicate with the links 4 through a spring 8 and an oil damper 9. The vibration of a building caused by a generally blowing wind of about 10-20 m is reduced, and living property is improved. This is designed to ensure about 4% damping force addition up to about 10 cm building amplitude. Namely, the amplitude of the weight is linearly increased up to about 12 cm building amplitude, and is about 60 cm at the building amplitude of about 12 cm. When the building amplitude exceeds this, the ratio of weight amplitude/building amplitude starts reducing, and at about 100 cm building amplitude, the weight amplitude is suppressed to about 160 cm.
