Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a periodontosis preventing composition having extremely additional and synergistic effects on various kinds of periodontosis, comprising a thyme extract, a purified oil and/or oleo-resin. CONSTITUTION:A periodontosis preventing composition comprising (A) a thyme extract, (B) one or more of purified oils, preferably rosemary oil, cinnamon leaf oil, bay oil, an oil of Commiphora abyssinica Engler or cardamon oil and oleo-resins, preferably nutmeg oleo-resin, sage oleo-resin and hop oleo-resin in a ratio of 0.001-2wt.% component A and 0.0005-2wt.% component B, preferably 0.01-0.2wt.% and 0.005-0.2wt.% component B.
