Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the workability of soldering by incorporating a specified percentage of a benzotriazole compd. represented by a specified formula as a corrosion inhibitor into a flux. CONSTITUTION:A benzotriazole compd. represented by the formula as a corrosion inhibitor is incorporated into a flux by 0.1-1.0 wt.% to obtain a flux compsn. In the formula, each of R1-R5 is H, halogen, amino group, hydroxyl group, alkyl group or phenyl group. Since the flux compsn. does not produce corrosion by a reaction with a base material, a washing stage is made unnecessary after soldering, accordingly the work eficiency of soldering is increased as a whole and the cost can be reduced.
