Abstract | PURPOSE:To make parking safe and easy by placing a vehicle on an under carriage, supported at a sliding base elevated along a column erected close by the road, on a roadway, and moving the under carriage in its lifted position laterally to above a footway for storage. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is unladen, an under carriage 8 is placed above a footway, and after putting a minimum rate into a rate counter 16, a descent button switch 18 is pressed. Then the driving link 10 and driven link 12 of a parallel link type lateral shift device interlocked with the switch 18 are rotated. The under carriage 8 is moved maintaining horizontality from the footway side to the roadway side, and lowered down to the road surface by the operation of a winch 15 to receive the vehicle. An ascent button switch 19 is then pressed to lift the under carriage 8 up to the uppermost end, and the links 10, 12 are rotated to move the undercarriage 8 laterally to above the footway for storage. Accordingly, the structure is simplified, and the cost of construction is low. |
