Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable facilitation of opening and closing of a door in a state that a user lies on a floor by a method wherein a door is extended to a position near the installation floor surface of a refrigerator, and further a handle part for opening and closing is formed on the under surface of the door. CONSTITUTION:Double swing doors 2, 3 for a refrigerating chamber 8 and a freezing chamber 9 are extended to the lower end of a refrigerator 1, and the under surfaces thereof are positioned in the vicinity of a floor surface. A top table 16 is mounted on the upper end of the refrigerator 1 and protruded to a position above the doors 2 and 3, and a lamp 17 is contained and situated at a front end. Recesses 22 and 23 for a handle are formed on the butting side of the upper surfaces of the doors 2 and 3, and recesses 24 and 25 for a handle are also formed on the butting side of the under surfaces of the doors 2 and 3. Since the refrigerator 1 is provided at its lower end with legs 26, the under surfaces of the two doors 2 and 3 are separated slightly away from a floor surface and fingers can be easily inserted in the recesses 24 and 25. Thus, the doors 2 and 3 can be opened and closed in a state that a user lies on a floor, and usefulness in a living room is further improved. |
