Summary:PURPOSE:To connect plural stylus pens to one digitizer and to enable discussion simultaneously for plural persons holding the stylus pens by switching the plural stylus pens and controlling the respective stylus pens so as to identify the coordinates of a tip position. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 13 is provided to which plural stylus pens 11 and 12 and one stylus pen the connection is controlled by a control circuit 10 so that the connection of can be made effective until the coordinates of the tip positions in the respective stylus pens 11 and 12 can be identified by a coordinate value computing circuit 14. After such a process is completed, the switching circuit 13 is switched and the other stylus pens 11 or 12 is made effective. Then, a series of the process is started to identify the coordinates of the tip position. Thus, even when the plural stylus pens 11 and 12 are simulta neously used, the respective stylus pens are successively switched and the posi tion of the coordinates can be read. Then, the input can be practically simultane ously executed to one digitizer by the plural stylus pens 11 and 12.
