Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an image quality without fog and having high gradation by providing the titled device with a pressing part pressing an elastic developing roll to the surface of a photosensitive drum and a tracking roll regulating and adjusting the pressing force. CONSTITUTION:The tracking roll 12 is attached to the core 3 of a donor roll 2 to regulate and adjust the pressing force of the tonor roll 2 to the photosensitive drum 1 by the pressing part P. When the external diameter of the donor roll 2 is (d) and the external diameter of the tracking roll 12 is (c), the degree of the pressing force of the donor roll 2 to the photosensitive drum 1 can be expressed by the function of (d-c)/2. Since the external diameter (d) is fixed value, the pressing force can be set up to a required value by selecting the external diameter (c), so that fine development can be attained.
