PURPOSE:To easily obtain the thread such as dental floss or fishing line of a needed length at any time by providing a valley-shaped cutter part to cut the thread in a second middle part in a condition that tension is applied between a first middle part and the second middle part. CONSTITUTION:In a simplified cutter device 2 for the thread, a thread hold part 8 is provided to hook a first middle part 6 of a thread 4 and to limit the movement of the thread in a lengthwise direction. The thread hold part 8 is a V-shaped groove provided in the edge part of a plate material 10 and for the thread hold part, however, the shape of a hole or a slit, etc., is available. For a valley shaped cutter part 14, two cutter blades are overlapped so as to be faced each other and a V-shaped blade is formed. In the cutter part 14, a second middle part 16, which is separated from the first middle part 6 of the thread, of the thread 4 is hung. Accordingly, when a part near the first middle part 6 of the thread is fixed by being pressed with one finger or being hooked to the thread hold part 8 and an outside part rather than the second middle part 16 is pulled in the lower direction of a figure by the other finger, the thread of the second middle part 16 is easily cut in the condition that the tension is applied to the thread.
