Summary:PURPOSE:To avoid the collision and formation of melting ash on a refractory material wall face in high temperature combustion gas by oppositely colliding and mixing low temperature circulation gas with the high temperature combustion gas at the outlet of a fusion furnace. CONSTITUTION:Thermal decomposition and fusion are operated at 1000 deg.C or more in a fusion furnace 4 and 60-90% of the amount of theoretical combustion air is partially burned while part of incinerated ash is converted into melting slag and formed unburnt gas and the remain part of the incinerated ash are introduced in a fluidized bed 6 of a fluid bed type rear combustion furnace 5. At this time, when low temperature circulation gas is collided and mixed with high temperature combustion gas at the outlet of the fusion furnace 4, melting ash in the high temperature combustion gas is quenched to solidify so as to avoid the collision and formation of the melting ash on a refractory material wall face. In this case, when the circulation gas is supplied with a turning flow, the refractory material wall face can be cooled effectively and the collision and formation of the melting ash on the refractory material wall face can be avoided effectively further.
