Abstract PURPOSE:To perform load leveling by a simple circuit and simple control by storing the energy for regeneration in a superconducting coil and emitting the energy at the time of force running, resulting in using the superconducting coil as an energy storage means. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of respective serial bodies of transistors (6), (7) and diodes (8), (9) are inserted into direct current lines between a converter (2) and an inverter (3), as well as a superconducting coil (5) is connected between the respective contacts of the transistors (6), (7) and the diodes (8), (9), so that on/off time of the two sets of transistors (6), (7) is controlled according to the voltage value of the direct current lines by means of a control part 11. The energy at a regenerating time is stored in the superconducting oil S on the basis of the switching control of switching components 6, 7, and the energy is emitted from this coil at the time of power running so as to use the superconducting coil as an energy storage means. The load leveling can be thus performed by the simple circuit and control.
