Summary: | PURPOSE:To improve brake performance by separating drive force from a throttle operating mechanism during brake operation where a brake pedal is stepped, even if an actuator is functioning, thereby eliminating such condition where brake functions with a throttle valve being opened. CONSTITUTION:When a constant speed drive mode is set through a vehicle speed controller 14 and a brake pedal 21 is not stepped, an actuator 13 is driven based on a throttle opening control signal fed from the vehicle speed controller 14. Drive force of the actuator 13 is transmitted through an output section 13a and a coupling mechanism 15 to the input section 4 of throttle operating mechanism so as to control a throttle valve 3 to a target opening. When the brake pedal 21 is stepped, stepping force thereof is transmitted from an output section 21a through a separating mechanism 16 to the movable section 18 of the coupling mechanism 15 so as to separate the movable section 18 from a fixed section 19. Consequently, transmission of drive force to the input section 4 can be prevented even when the actuator 13 is operating. |
