Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of vibrative noise in a compressor with miniaturization and weight lightness by forming one part of a connecting rod, which turnably holds a piston support in one side and a piston in the other, into a hollow structure. CONSTITUTION:A connecting rod 32 connects ball parts 321, 322 by welding or the like to both ends of one stem part 323. Holding the ball part 321 to a piston support 21, it is turnably held about the center of the ball part 321. Also the ball part 322 is similarly held turnably about its center to a piston 31 by the method of calking or the like. The connecting rod 32 performs the reduction of its weight by a hollow structure of the stem part 323 and the ball parts 321, 322. Generating moment by reciprocating the connecting rod 32 or the like, because the moment can be reduced, a compressor enables miniaturization and weight lightness to be promoted, and a vibrative noise of the compressor, when it is in high speed operation, can be suppressed.
