PURPOSE:To reduce subfield dividing work by checking including relation between a rectangle and an OCR character frame and automatically executing subfield division. When the character frame surrounded by the rectangle is processed by a control program formation system, the including relation between the OCR character frame and the rectangle is automatically checked, the OCR character string is divided, respective coordinate values are found out, and the OCR control program is formed by setting up a date (day, mo., year) respectively as different fields.
