This invention relates to a fan heater controller capable of delivering hot air even at the air supply starting time without the necessity of carrying out preheating with an electric heater, and provided with an electric fan (4), an electric heater (5) for use in heating the air sent from the electric fan (4), a detector (7) adapted to detect a first object in a first detection range (a, c) and a second object in a second detection range (b, d), and a control circuit adapted to supply an electric current to the electric heater (5) when the first object is detected in the first detection range by the detector (7), and supply an electric current to the electric fan (4) when the second object is detected in the second detection range by the detector (7).
