To provide an imaging apparatus that is easy to handle.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a housing that has an opening; a camera unit that is provided inside the housing, and that has an image pick-up device, a lens attachment and detachment part to which a lens barrel is detachably attached, and a shaft member extending in a width direction of the camera unit; and fixing means that can take a state where it fixes the camera unit to the housing and a state where it does not fix the camera unit to the housing.
