Summary:To reduce electrostatic charging on a glass substrate for flat panel displays caused by friction with a production device in production processing.SOLUTION: A deposition layer is prepared on the surface of a glass substrate 1 in contact with a production device so as to roughen the surface of the glass. The deposition layer with a surface roughness Ra in the range from 0.8 nm to 20 nm is formed by depositing on the surface a mixed aqueous solution comprising: nanocolloid containing aluminum oxide and/or silicon oxide as main ingredients; and organic functional groups derived from silane coupling agents and bonded to silicon via hydrocarbon groups.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】 製造処理での製造装置との摩擦により生じるフラットパネルディスプレイ用ガラス基板上の静電帯電を削減する。【解決手段】 成膜層を、製造装置と接触するガラス基板1の表面に備えて、ガラスの表面を粗くする。酸化アルミニウム、および/または、酸化ケイ素を、主成分として含むナノコロイドと、シランカップリング剤由来で、ケイ素に炭化水素基を介して結合した有機官能基とを含む混合水溶液を表面に成膜して、0.8nmから20nmの範囲の表面粗さRaを有する成膜層を形成した。【選択図】図2
