To provide a detachable unit that can prevent damage to a positioning projection part, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device 32 as a detachable unit configured to be detachably attached to an apparatus body has a positioning projection part 133 that projects downward and performs positioning with respect to a unit or a member located below the fixing device in a state where it is attached to the apparatus body. The fixing device 32 has a first projection part 141 as an upstream-side projection part that projects further downward than the positioning projection part 133 on the upstream side in an attachment direction to the apparatus body.
