To provide a gas consumption type power generation system that can reduce as much as possible a period required for a control unit of the gas consumption type power generation system to determine that a gas non-use condition is satisfied, and when a gas meter does not determine that a non-leakage condition is satisfied, can perform similar determination.SOLUTION: In a gas consumption type power generation system S, a control unit 22 determines that a gas non-use condition is satisfied when the cumulative number of reference periods longer than a period for setting determination included in all continuous gas non-use periods occurring during all stand-by processing performed in a processing target period becomes the target number of times equal to or more than the set number of times.
