Abstract | To provide a ferritic stainless steel excellent in red scale resistance, designability or weldability.SOLUTION: A ferritic stainless steel is adopted. The ferritic stainless steel comprises C: 0.030% or less, Si: 0.005 to 1.20%, Mn: 0.03 to 1.2%, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.005% or less, Ni: 0.01 to 1.0%, Cr: 12.00 to 23.00%, Cu: 0.01 to 2.0%, N: 0.030% or less, remainder: Fe and impurities, on a surface, there are an Al-based oxidized region in which the Al concentration is 10 mass% or more, and a Si-based oxidized region in which the Si concentration is 5 mass% or more, a thickness of the Al-based oxidized region is 6 nm or more, the thickness of the Si-based oxidized region is 5 nm or more, a total thickness of the Al-based oxidized region and the Si-based oxidized region is 15 nm or more and 120 nm or less, and in color difference measurement, the L* satisfies 65 or more, and the a* satisfies 0.50 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
