Abstract To provide a dispersant capable of enhancing dispersibility of a carbonate-blended cement composition.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a dispersant for carbonate-blended cement compositions, such as calcium carbonate, comprising a polycarboxylic acid copolymer containing 1 to 99 wt.% of a composition unit (I) derived from a monomer represented by a general formula (1) and 1 to 99 wt.% of a composition unit (II) derived from a monomer represented by a general formula (2). It is preferable that an average particle size of the carbonate be 1.0 to 100 μm.
