Abstract | To provide a battery control device capable of inhibiting deterioration of a battery by properly determining a deteriorated condition of the battery.SOLUTION: A battery control device according to the present invention controls a charging/discharging operation of a battery formed of a nickel hydrogen battery. The battery control device includes control means for, in a case where a temperature of the battery is less than a prescribed temperature and the total voltage of the battery is less than a prescribed voltage, charging the battery until the total voltage of the battery reaches the prescribed voltage, and, in a case where the temperature of the battery is less than the prescribed temperature, the total voltage of the battery is equal to or greater than the prescribed value, and a positive electrode potential of the battery is less than a prescribed potential, charging the battery until the positive electrode potential of the battery reaches the prescribed potential.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
