Abstract | To provide a hydraulic drive system which can automatically remove air in fluid while being automatically operable at any posture and position of a cylinder actuator.SOLUTION: A hydraulic drive system includes: a three-port cylinder actuator 1 having a piston 15; at least two operation valves including a first operation valve 31 and a second operation valve 32; an exhaust valve 33; a tank 8 for storing fluid; a motor pump 7 for supplying the fluid to the operation valves from the tank; and a control device 100 for controlling all of the operation valves and the exhaust valve and the motor pump. The first operation valve is connected to a bottom port 11 of the three-port cylinder actuator. The second operation valve is connected to a rod port 12 of the three-port cylinder actuator. The exhaust valve 33 is connected to the exhaust port 13 of the three-port cylinder actuator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
