Summary:To provide a method for treating nitrogen-containing wastewater that contains nitric acid or/and nitrous acid or/and ammonia, rather than ammonia alone.SOLUTION: This method includes the steps for adding a reducing aid to wastewater containing nitric acid, adding an oxidizing agent, and electrolyzing the wastewater at a non-diaphragm electrode. In the electrolysis step at the non-diaphragm electrode, nitric acid (nitrogen form) is converted to nitrite (nitrogen form) and ammonia (nitrogen form) by cathodic reduction, and ammonia (nitrogen form) is nitrogenated by anodic oxidation, and the reducing aid and the oxidizing agent facilitate and promote these reactions.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】アンモニア単独ではなく硝酸又は/及び亜硝酸又は/及びアンモニアを含む窒素含有排水の処理方法を提供しようとするもの。【解決手段】硝酸を含む排水に還元性助剤を添加する工程と、酸化剤を添加する工程と、無隔膜電極で電気分解する工程を有する。無隔膜電極で電気分解する工程において、硝酸(態窒素)が陰極還元で亜硝酸(態窒素)、アンモニア(態窒素)に変化し、アンモニア(態窒素)が陽極酸化で窒素化することとなるが、還元性助剤と酸化剤はその反応を補助・促進する。【選択図】なし
