To enable entering and leaving persons to visually recognize collation results and to suppress occurrence of congestion.SOLUTION: A gate system comprises: first imaging devices capable of imaging the faces of persons moving in a first direction in a predetermined area of a passage; second imaging devices capable of imaging the faces of persons moving in a second direction opposite to the first direction in the predetermined area of the passage; a first display device having a screen which can visually be recognized by the persons moving in the first direction; and a second display device having a screen which can visually be recognized by the persons moving in the second direction. The first and second imaging devices image the faces of the persons moving through the passage. The first display device displays collation results of the face images of the persons moving in the first direction but does not display collation results of the face images of the persons moving in the second direction.
