Abstract | To obtain a reflective polarizing element bonded lens which can provide a high resolution video while effectively suppressing the occurrence of flares and ghosts and a decrease in contrast, in a head-mount display that has a pancake structure being a thin and lightweight optical system.SOLUTION: A lens that is used in an image display device having an eyepiece optical system that guides light from an image display element toward the eye balls of an observer is a reflective polarizing element bonded lens that is a resin lens composed of a thermoplastic resin composition having an aryl group or an alicyclic group in the main or side chain. The resin lens has a glass transition temperature Tg of 115°C to 150°C and an absolute value of photoelastic coefficient of 10×10-12 Pa-1 or less, and the resin lens has a first face and a second face that are opposite each other with a reflective polarizing element bonded to one of the faces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
