Abstract | To provide a switch control device capable of quickly performing overcurrent protection.SOLUTION: A switch control device (2A) is configured to control: turning on/off of a first switch (SW1) in which a first end is configured to be connectable to an application end of input voltage, and a second end is configured to be connectable to a first end of an inductor (L1); and turning on/off of a second switch (SW2) in which a first end is configured to be connectable to the first end of the inductor and the second end of the first switch, and a second end is configured to be connectable to an application end of low voltage lower than the input voltage. The switch control device comprises a limiting unit (21) which is configured to limit time during which the first switch is in an on state in each switching cycle to be equal to or less than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
