Abstract | To provide a sun shield having a movable shutter for protecting a chassis of a fan-less component.SOLUTION: A sun shield for protecting an apparatus housing from solar heat includes: a main plate configured to cover a side surface of an apparatus housing; a vent in the main plate to allow an airflow to pass from the main plate to the apparatus housing; a shutter that is rotatable between an open position to allow the airflow to pass through the vent and a closed position to block the airflow to pass through the vent; and a biasing mechanism providing force for biasing the shutter to the closed position, the force being overcome by an outside air flow of a predetermined level relative to the shutter to cause the shutter to rotate to the open position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
