Abstract To provide a used disposable diaper processing method and a device thereof, capable of completing volume reduction processing of a used disposable diaper in a short time.SOLUTION: Absorption function of a super absorbent polymer is reduced by a dipping treatment in a high-concentration process liquid 19 prepared by blending a super absorbent polymer which has adsorbed moisture involved in excrements and a chemical including a divalent metal ion ets., thereby separating moisture. Thus, most of moisture involved in a used disposable diaper 18 is reduced and then, by stirring the same in a process tank 20 using a low-concentration process liquid for a short period, complete separation of water followed by dehydration is achieved, thereby reducing the weight.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】使用済み紙おむつの減量処理を、短時間で完了することが可能である使用済み紙おむつ処理方法及び装置を提供する。【解決手段】排泄物に含まれる水分を吸収した高吸水性ポリマーと2価の金属イオンなどを含む薬品を混合した高濃度の処理液19でつけ置き処理することで、高吸水性ポリマーが持つ吸収機能を低下させて、水分を離水させ、使用済み紙おむつ18が含む水分量の大半を低下させたのちに、処理槽20において低濃度の処理液を用いて短時間攪拌することで、完全に離水させた後に脱水することで重量を減量する。【選択図】図1
