Abstract | To reduce the power consumption amount of a wheel testing device.SOLUTION: A wheel testing device is provided that comprises: a rail wheel support unit that rotatably supports a rail wheel; a wheel support unit that rotatably supports a test wheel by being contacted with the rail wheel; a first electric motor that causes the rail wheel and the test wheel to rotate; and a torque generation device that generates torque to be applied to the test wheel. The torque generation device includes a rotation frame that is driven to rotate by a rotation drive device, and a second electric motor that is attached to the rotation frame. At least one of the rail wheel and the test wheel is connected to the first electric motor via the torque generation device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
