Abstract | To suppress a decrease in visibility in a case where a fixing section is drawn out from an apparatus main body while maintaining cooling efficiency for the fixing section in comparison with a case where a fixing unit that is attachable to and detachable from the apparatus main body is provided with a plurality of ducts.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus main body that has an image forming section for forming an image on a recording material; a fixing unit that has a fixing section for fixing the image formed by the image forming section onto the recording material and that is attachable to and detachable from the apparatus main body; a first duct that is attached to the fixing unit to face the fixing section and through which a gas for cooling the fixing section flows; and a second duct that is attached to the apparatus main body to be adjacent to the first duct and through which the gas for cooling the fixing section flows.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
