Abstract | To provide a battery module capable of reducing a space necessary for connecting batteries to one another.SOLUTION: A battery module comprises a plurality of batteries and a bus bar for electrically connecting the plurality of batteries to one another. The battery comprises: a battery can having a cylinder part, a bottom wall which closes one end portion of the cylinder part, and an opening edge continuous to the other end of the cylinder part; an electrode body housed in the cylinder part; and a sealing body fixed at the opening edge in a manner to sela the opening of the opening edge and having a first main face directed to inside of the battery can, a second main face located on an opposite side to the first main face, and a side face coupling the first face and the second face. The bus bar has a plurality of though holes for fitting the batteries. At least a portion of the opening edge of the battery fitted into the through hole comes into contact with the bus bar. The opening edge and the bus bar are electrically connected to each other. The sealing body and the bus bar are electrically insulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
