Summary: | To provide a metal-loaded catalyst that, while having a large noble metal content, exhibits both an excellent durability and an excellent catalytic function and a manufacturing method thereof, as well as an electrode and a battery.SOLUTION: A metal-loaded catalyst comprises a carbon support and noble metal alloy-containing catalyst metal particles supported by the carbon support. The ratio of the weight of the noble metal to the weight of the metal-loaded catalyst is 35 wt.% or more. The metal-loaded catalyst has the following property (a) and/or property (b): (a) the alloy composition heterogeneity is at most 0.55; and (b) the half-maximum asymmetry and the 1/4-maximum asymmetry are both at most 0.55.SELECTED DRAWING: None
