To provide an electrolytic capacitor which allows a low ESR to be kept even under a high-temperature environment.SOLUTION: An electrolytic capacitor comprises: an anode body with a dielectric layer formed on its surface; a cathode body; a conductive polymer disposed between the anode body and the cathode body; and liquid components. The liquid components include an acid component, a basic component and an aromatic additive agent. The acid component includes an aromatic carboxylic acid and/or aromatic carboxylic acid derivative. Each or one of the aromatic carboxylic acid and the aromatic carboxylic acid derivative has at least two carboxy groups, and contains at least one aromatic ring. The content of the basic component that the liquid components include is 1 mass% or more. The aromatic additive agent has an electron-attracting group and an electron donating group.
