Abstract | To provide an environmentally friendly weeding and weed prevention implement, and a weeding and weed prevention method excellent in weeding and weed prevention effects, which achieves labor saving in work and maintains effects over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A weeding and weed prevention implement includes an electrode 2 laid in a weed prevention target region, and a power source device 3 for applying a voltage to the electrode 2. The electrode 2 consists of a positive electrode 4 connected to a positive side of the power source device 3 and a negative electrode 5 connected to a negative side of the power source device 3. The positive electrode 4 and the negative electrode 5 are disposed separately, and an electric stimulus is given to a plant 6 interposed between the electrodes by an electric action generated between the positive electrode 4 and the negative electrode 5 by a voltage being applied to the electrode 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
