Abstract To provide culture method and culture apparatus that can sufficiently improve the production volume of microalgae under changing culture environment.SOLUTION: In the setting step of a culture method, the nutrient form of microalgae is set according to the culture environment. In the culturing step, microalgae are cultured in the nutrient form set in the setting step. When a photoautotrophic setting is set in the setting step, the microalgae are supplied with gas containing carbon dioxide and light in the culturing step.
