Abstract | To provide an optical path controller and a display device in which the manner of how an image outputted when an optical unit is made swing by a first shank and an image outputted when the optical unit is made swing by a second shank look like is uniformized, for suppressing decrease in image quality.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: an optical unit which light enters; a swing unit having a first swing unit that supports the optical unit and a second swing unit that swingably supports the first swing unit by a first shank and which is swingably supported to a support unit by a second shank; a first actuator for causing the swing unit to swing around a first swing shaft that includes the first shank, with the first shank serving as a fulcrum; and a second actuator for causing the swing unit to swing around a second swing shaft that includes the second shank, with the second shank serving as a fulcrum. The first swing shaft intersects the second swing shaft, and torsional rigidity of the second shank is higher than the torsional rigidity of the first shank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
