Abstract | To provide a technique for reducing a power loss caused by a resonance of two motors in an electric automobile having the two motors for traveling.SOLUTION: An electric automobile includes a first motor and a second motor both for traveling, a DC power source, a step-up converter, an inverter, a smoothing capacitor, and a controller. The smoothing capacitor is connected between a DC terminal of the inverter and a ground wire. The controller controls the step-up converter and the inverter. The causes the step-up converter to function at a step-up ratio exceeding 1 in a case where an operating point of the first motor is within a specific range when a switching element on a ground side of the step-up converter is retained at Off, and a frequency of an AC current flowing through the first motor and a frequency of an AC flowing through the second motor meet a relation of an integral multiple.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
