Abstract To improve content fixation strength of a wound core type transformer.SOLUTION: A transformer comprises a coil, a wound core, fastening metal fittings, and a spacer. These components of the transformer are described herein. The wound core is a component inserted in the coil. The fastening metal fittings are components having a concave shape and disposed on an upper surface side and a lower surface side of the wound core. The fastening metal fittings cover and fix the upper surface side and the lower surface side of the wound core. The spacer is a component disposed between the wound core and the fastening metal fittings.
